Jessica Pegula secured her spot in the Wimbledon quarterfinals on Sunday after overcoming a slow start against Iva Jovic. The fourth seed dropped the opening set before finding her rhythm to claim a 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 victory. This win keeps Pegula's momentum alive as she continues her pursuit of a maiden Grand Slam title. Meanwhile, the draw opened up further following the exit of Barbora Krejcikova. With several top contenders already out, does Pegula now have her best chance yet to win a major?

Gauff's 3 set record in majors is amazing.

I do think Pegula and Anisimova had a better chance to win this year's Wimbledon.

I hope we see Kenin reach the level she used to have.

I'm impressed with Kenin's comeback- she's going toe-to-toe with some of the top players. Maybe she'll make some noise at the US Open.

Gauff has been very resililent- keeps losing the first set but comes back to win the next 2. Showing a lot of mental toughness, and of course good variety in her game. She has a good a solid chance now as the top seed going into the semis.

Only thing that gives me pause for Guaff is that she doesn't hit winners like some of the others.

There's two ways to win Wimbledon. One is to have a great serve and hit winners.

The other is to break quickly and be able to take control of rallies as the returner. This is how Gauff has to do it.
