Haven't started watching yet, going to go through the past few days now.

Men's Draw:

Alcaraz's Quarter:

Alcaraz to the SF. I might have predicted a good matchup with Tiafoe a few years ago, but not anymore.

Zverev's Quarter:

Medvedev vs. Auger-Aliassime 4th round:

Medvedev lost early a lot last year. Perhaps this will be a better year for him.

Medvedev in 4.

Zverev vs. Medvedev QF: I guess I'll say it will be a better year, and Medvedev in 5.

Djokovic's Quarter:

Surprised Fritz is # 9, I thought he'd be higher.

Fritz vs. Musetti 4th round: Fritz in 3.

Djokovic vs. Frtiz QF: Djokovic in 3.

Djokovic to the SF.

Sinner's Quarter:

Shelton vs. Sinner QF: Sinner in 3.

Alcaraz vs. Medvedev SF: Alcaraz in 3. But hopefully it's better than that.

Djokovic vs. Sinner SF: I think Djokovic can beat Sinner one more time. Maybe not here though. Sinner in 3, but I might change my mind on this later.

Alcaraz vs. Sinner Finals: No idea, but I'll take Sinner in 4.

Women's Draw:

Sabalenka's Quarter:

Sabalenka to the SF.

Gauff's Quarter:

Andreeva to the SF.

Anisimova's Quarter:

Keys vs. Anisimova QF: Keys in 2

Swiatek's Quarter:

Swiatek to the SF.

Sabalenka vs. Andreeva SF: Sabalenka in 2.

Keys vs. Swiatek SF: Swiatek in 2.

Sabalenka vs. Swiatek Finals: Swiatek in 2.

I started watching yesterday. This is Wawrinka and Monfils last season.

The crowd is cheering Wawrinka with every match. He has won his first two, in thrilling fashion.

I haven't start watching either- haven't been any major upsets thus far I believe.

But apparently there's a civil war brewing in the tennis tour (PTPA lead by Djokovic vs ATP & WTA):

Is the lawsuit to help restructure the tour and prize money? Or to study the possibility of restructuring it?

Is this sort of like having a new CBA in the NBA? The tennis equivalent of that?

It's actually a bit of both. The lawsuit trying to force the current organizations to change, while the breakaway plan is the blueprint for what that new structure would look like- higher prize money, fewer tournaments etc.

Yeah like the NBA it's basically the players trying to force a tennis CBA. Since they don't have a deal like NBA players, they're using the lawsuit and the threat of a new tour to get a guaranteed share of the revenue. But all sides will probably end up with some sort of compromise agreement, but we'll see.

Thanks.

They actually had opening ceremonies 1 day early, which included a doubles match with Lleyton Hewitt / Patrick Rafter vs. Roger Federer / Andre Agassi.

With a surprise appearance by Ashleigh Barty for the 3rd set on the Federer / Agassi team.

Bump, was just wondering if you happened to catch any of that "opening ceremony" exhibition doubles match.

Oops, can you change this thread title so it's 2026?
