Alexander Zverev secured his spot in the Wimbledon semifinals on Wednesday with a dominant 6-4, 6-4, 6-2 victory over Taylor Fritz. This win marks the French Open champion's third consecutive appearance in a major semifinal, highlighting his consistent form on the biggest stages. Zverev controlled the match throughout, preventing the American from finding any rhythm on the grass courts. The German continues his pursuit of a second consecutive Grand Slam title this season. How far do you think Zverev can go in this tournament?

This was so disappointing. Whether it was Fritz body, or just an off day, he had a great chance here to go a round or two further.

He is the best of the Americans. Tiafoe, Shelton have more flash, but Frtiz moves better and is steadier.

There's a reason why he keeps holding onto the mantle of the highest ranked American.

And that he lost in straight sets, was bad too.

Especially after all of the recent streaks he had against Zverev.

That was for sure- Fritz was playing well and though he had a decent chance but didn't expect the straight set defeat. But it also shows the rise of Zverev's game. I think I'd give him the edge vs Sinner in the finals.

Sinner is on a huge streak of breaking serve in a lot of sets.

With that said, Zverev's movement has always been great. So I think this will be a good match.

I think I'll pick Zverev too.

It's weird that no male player has ever won a major, then won another one in their next attempt at a major.

I think a lot of female players have done that, so just odd that a male has never done that.

Off the top of my head, Osaka seems to be the most recent one, winning the 2018 USO and 2019 AO.
